OPSC Dental Surgeon Jobs 2023 Application fee:
· The Candidates are exempted for payment of Examination fee as Per G.A & P.G Department letter No.9897/Gen dt.11.04.2022
OPSC Dental Surgeon Recruitment 2023 Age Limit
· A candidate must have attained the age of 21(twenty one) years and must not be above the age of 38 (thirty eight) years on the 1st day of January 2023 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1985 and not later than 1" January 2002.
· The upper age limit prescribed above shall be relaxed by 5 (five) years for candidates belonging to the categories of Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (S.E.B.C), Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.), Women & Ex-Servicemen and by 10 (ten) years for candidates belonging to PWD category, whose permanent disability is 40% and more.
· Persons with Disabilities belonging to SEBC/SC/ST categories are eligible for age relaxation benefit of 15 (Fifteen) years.
OPSC Dental Surgeon Qualification
(i) have possessed a BDS or equivalent Degree from a Medical College or Medical Institution recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI);
(ii) have possessed a valid Registration Certificate under the "Dentist Act- 1948"; Provided that if a candidate outside the State of Odisha has not registered his name under the Odisha Dental Council as per the provision of section 34 of Dentist Act, 1948, he shall get himself registered, before issue of appointment order.
(iii) have possessed required Conversion Certificates recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI) in case of candidate having degrees from universities of foreign countries.

OPSC Dental Surgeon 2023 Selection process
The selection of candidates for recruitment to the post of Dental Surgeon will be made as per the guidelines as enumerated in Odisha Medical Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Services of Dental Surgeons) Rules, 2022.
The suitability of candidates shall be adjudged on the basis of written test as mentioned in the following, namely:-
(i) Total marks in written test shall be 200;
(ii) Total No. of questions in written test is 200 which shall be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) pattern;
(ii) There shall be negative marking for each wrong answer and for each wrong answer 0.25 marks shall be deducted from the marks awarded for correct answer. (iv) Qualifying mark – 50% for UR & SEBC, 45% for PWD and 40% for SC and ST;
(v) Duration of Examination shall be 3 hours;
(vi) The Syllabus shall be as per Dental Council of India (DCI) Syllabus for BDS;
OPSC Dental Surgeon Place of Examination:
The Written Examination for the posts of OPSC Dental Surgeon will be held at cuttack only. The Programme of Examination shall be notified well in Advanced
OPSC Dental Surgeon 2023 Salary
· Candidates will given a salary in Level 12 , cell 1 of ORSP Rules 2017 with usual dearness and other allowance as may be sanctioned by government of Odisha from time to time.
