Important Date:

· The Link for Registration shall be available from 21.12.2022 to 10.01.2023

· The Online Applications can be filled upto 10th January, 2023 till 6:00 PM

· The online Applications can be withdrawn from 18.01.2023 to 24.01.2023 till 6.00 PM. Detailed instructions regarding withdrawal of Applications is available at Appendix-II (B).

· UPSC CDS Exam Date: 16^th April 2023

· UPSC CDS 1 Admit Card Release Date: Three weeks before the commencement of the examination

· CDS 1 Result 2023 Release Date: May 2023

UPSC NDA 1 Application Fee:

· Candidates (excepting SC/ ST candidates/ female candidates/ Wards of JCOs/ NCOs/ ORs specified in Note 2 below who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/ Master Card/ Rupay Credit/ Debit Card.

Age Limit as on 01.01.2022:

· Only unmarried male/ female candidates born not earlier than
02nd July 2004 and not later than 1st July 2007 are eligible.

UPSC CDS 1 Exam Eligibility Criteria

· Nationality: A candidate must be unmarried and must either be:

· a Citizen of India, or

· a subject of Nepal, or

· a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

UPSC NDA 1 Qualification

(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Note: Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

· The questions will be asked in bilingual languages (English & Hindi)

· Negative Marking – Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers. – One third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
