Vacancy Details: NHM Punjab House Surgeon 2023 Department of Health and Family, Punjab intends to fill up 523 posts of House Surgeons ( District wise details as Annexure A) for period of six months in the various District Hospitals / Sub Divisional Hospitals of Punjab State. Interested candidates may apply online for these posts at https://nhm.punjab.gov.in before 25.06.2023 (Midnight).

NHM Punjab recruitment 2023 Eligibility
i) The candidate must possess the minimum qualification of MBBS from a recognized University.
ii) In case of foreign medical graduate, the candidate must have cleared the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
iii) He should be registered with the Punjab Medical Council/Medical Council of India/ National Medica Council.
iv) Should have passed Punjabi upto Matric level or equivalent examination conducted by the Language Department, Punjab and as per latest instructions issued by Govt. of Punjab from time to time.
v) The age of the candidate shall be less than 37 years.
vi) He should be physically and mentally fit according the standards of fitness provided for entrance to the Punjab State Medical Service.
Order Of Priority:
· Candidates graduating from the Medical Colleges established/run by the Govt. of India or State Govt. or through a Society established/ run by the Govt. of India or State Govt and predominantly funded by the Govt.
· Candidates ~actuating from the Medical Colleges other than the Medical Colleges established/run by the Govt of India or S~te Govt. or through a Society established/ run by the Govt. of India or State Govt.
· Candidates graduatmg from the Medical Colleges outside India.

Punjab House Surgeon Selection Procedure:
· Merit will be determined on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the Professional Examination viz. 1st, 2 and final professional MBBS university examination.
Selection Committee:
The applications shall be invited by the Director Health Services for the entire state through a common advertisement .
The Selection Committee shall be at the District Level comprising the following:
I. C1v1I Surgeon of the District: Chairman
2. Assistant Civil Surgeon
3. Representative of the Deputy Commissioner
4. District Social Justice Empowerment Officer.

Punjab House Surgeon Security:-
· A security of Rs. 20,000/- will be deposited each appointee before joining duty. If a House Surgeon leaves before completion of full term or is discharged due to un-satisfactory conduct, the security will be forfeited and no certificate of House job will be issued in such cases.
