Age Limit:
The applying candidates for the APSC Assistant Engineer Notification 2023 should not be younger than 21 years or older than 38 years as of 1st January 2023.
Age Relaxation
(i) The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and more than 38 years of age as on
(i) The upper age limit is relaxable upto:-
a) 5(Five) years for SC/STP/STH candidates i.e. upto 43 years. b) 3(Three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years.
c) 10 (ten) years for Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates i.e. upto 48 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category candidates as per Govt. Memorandum No ABP.180/2017/105, dated Dispur the 7 January, 2019.
d) 12 (twelve) years for Ex-Servicemen candidates i.e. upto 50 years irrespective of Un- reserved candidates as per Govt. Notification No.ABP.48/2009/84, dated Dispur the 19th December, 2022.
e) 15 (fifteen) years for Ex-Servicemen candidates i.e. upto 53 years irrespective of OBC or MOBC candidates as per Govt. Notification No ABP.48/2009/84, dated Dispur the 19 December, 2022.
f) 17 (seventeen) years for Ex-Servicemen candidates i.e. upto 55 years irrespective of SC or ST candidates as per Govt. Notification No.ABP.48/2009/84, dated Dispur the 19th December, 2022.
Qualification:
1. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from an Indian or foreign University recognized by the Government.
OR
Passed Part A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) and possessing a certificate to that effect from the Institution of Engineers (India) only.
ii. Degrees obtained through Distance mode of education will not be eligible. iii. Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
As a domicile proof of the candidate, he/she must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate/Voter ID or his/her parents will be treated as proof of residency.

Salary
· The selected candidates for the APSC AE Vacancies will receive a salary as per the Pay Scale of Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1, 10,000/- + Rs. 12,700/- Grade Pay.
Selection Process:
· The officials of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) will select the candidates on the basis of a Screening Examination or Written Examination and Interview Test.
