Age Limit as 01.01.2022
· Minimum Age: 18 Years
· Maximum Age: 40 Years
· (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983).
· Relaxations: Upper age limit will be relaxed for:
(i) 5 (five) years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) and ST(H)
(ii) . (ii) 3 (three) years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.
Eligibility:
a) Nationality- Candidates must be Indian Citizen, permanent resident of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit Proof of Residence after publication of the final select list. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.
b) Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Educational and other diploma qualification required:
Cook: Minimum Class VII passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.
Other diploma qualification required:-
Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) will carry 5 marks.
or
Minimum 01 (one) year working experience certificate from a recognized / registered Cooking Institution or Hotel will carry 5 marks. Registered Cooking Institute / Hotel registration number must be reflected in the certificate
Water Carrier :- Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.
Other diploma qualification required:-
Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) will carry 5 mark
Dhobi:– Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.
Other diploma qualification required:- Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) will carry 5 marks.
Or
Minimum 01 (one) year experience certificate from a registered Laundry / Dry Cleaner will carry 5 marks. Registered Laundry / Dry Cleaner registration Number must be reflected in the certificate.
Barber :- Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.
Other diploma qualification required:-
Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) will carry 5 marks.
Or
Minimum 01 (one) year experience certificate from registered Saloon /Beauty Parlour will carry 5 marks. Registered Saloon /Parlour registration Number must be reflected in the certificate.
Pump Operator: HSLC or Equivalent Pass and Trade Certificate / License holder from recognized institution.
Electrician:- HSLC or Equivalent Pass.
Other diploma qualification required:- Minimum two year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institution / Vocational Institute will carry 5 marks
Plumber :- HSLC or Equivalent Pass.
Other diploma qualification required:- Minimum two year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institution / Vocational Institute will carry 5 marks.
Peon: Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.

2023 Selection Procedure:
· The candidate reporting at the venue on the date and time for Physical Standard Test and Trade Proficiency Test (PST & TPT), he/ she must bring all the documents uploaded during the submission of the online application and other prescribed documents.
· The final merit lists will be prepared based on marks scored in the Trade Proficiency Test (TPT). Candidates shall have no claim or right for selection merely on the ground that they secured the minimum 33% qualifying standards in the Trade Proficiency Test.
· However, the final decision regarding the allotment of successful candidates will lie with the Chairman, SLPRB, Assam.

(I) For the posts of Forester Grade I, Forest Guard & Driver: 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983).
(II) For the posts of AFPF Constable & Driver Constable : 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1998).

B) FOREST GUARD WITH GRADE PAY OF RS. 5600/-
Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
C) AFPF CONSTABLE WITH GRADE PAY OF RS. 5600/-
HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board
D) DRIVER CONSTABLE WITH GRADE PAY OF RS. 5600/-
HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.
E) DRIVER WITH GRADE PAY OF RS. 5200/

Physical Efficiency Test
Candidates who clear PST, will be required to undergo PET. The PET consists of the following:
The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 marks. It will have 2 (two) events viz:
Male Candidates
a)Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 3200 metres race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds).
b)Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
Female Candidates
a)Race : Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 1600 metres race to be completed within 08 minutes .
b)Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
Medical Standard:
· Candidates must not have knocked knee, flat foot or squint eyed, and they should not be colour blind. Varicose vein shall be considered a temporary disqualification. They must be in good mental and bodily health. They must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases or any other ailment that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties. The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one https://apcap.in/eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.

ASSAM AFPF Constable /Forest Guard/Driver Pay Scale/ Remuneration
· The selected candidates for the concerned posts of Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver Constable, and Driver will be given according to Pay Scale Rs. 14000- 60,500/ (Pay Band II), with Grade Pay of Rs.5200/- to Rs. Rs. 6400/-.
Assam Forest Guard Vacancy Selection Procedure:
· Candidates whose applications are correct will have to undergo the Physical Standards Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET).
· Driving Test/ Skill Test for the posts of Driver Constable, Driver.
· Written Test for Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard, AFPF Constable posts, Driver Constable, Driver.
· Walking Test for Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard.
· NCC is taken into consideration for all the SLPRB Assam Vacancies 2023.
Exam Pattern For the post of Forester Grade-I
The written test will be of 100 marks and will be completely OMR based. There will be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark. There will be negative marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer. The questions will be set in three parts- (i) Logical reasoning, Aptitude, English Comprehension (ii) Matters relating to History and Culture of Assam and India and (iii) General Mathematics of H.S. or equivalent standard & General Knowledge.
For the post of Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver Constable & Driver
a)Written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer the candidate will get half mark. Questions will be of the level of class IX and X. Total marks for the Written Test will be 50. There will be no negative marking.
b)The subjects to be covered will be as follows:- i. Elementary /Arithmetic ii. General English iii. Logical reasoning/Mental ability iv. Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy v. General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs
