Age Limit
· A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 38 years as of the 1st day of January 2022, i.e. he/she must not have been born earlier than 2nd January 1984 and not later than 1st January 2001.
· Age Relaxation is Applicable as per Rules of OPSC Civil Service Exam 2023
Eligibility Criteria
· He/ she must be able to read, write and speak Odia
· Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a Language subject; or
· Passed High School Certificate or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in the non-language subject; or
· Passed in Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class-VII from a School or Educational Institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government; or
· Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha.
OPSC Civil Service Exam Qualification
· A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or a State Legislature in India or an Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament.

OPSC OCS Selection Process
The Combined Competitive Recruitment Examination shall consist of the following successive stages:-
· Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) for selection of candidates for Main Examination; and
· Main Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts.
Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination shall comprise two compulsory papers of objective types (Multiple Choice Questions) carrying a maximum of 200 marks each in the subjects set out in section 1 of SCHEDULE-III of OCS(CCRE) (third) Amendment Rules, 2022 (Annexure-I), and each paper shall be of (02) two hours duration.
(a) General Studies Paper-1 – 200 marks
(b) General Studies Paper-2 – 200 marks
The Main Examination Shall Carry 200 Mark including 250 marks for the Interview.
